    Main features:
    • Fast prototyping and quick iteration
    • Improved the overall quality of scripting as soon as its features solidified
    • Variables controlling character core features and metrics are exposed: easy and accessible balancing

    Gameplay Systems Programming

Visual scripting for the Rain, one of our featured challenges

    Summary

During my team's Final Project at VFS, I programmed the core gameplay systems like the checkpoints, sublevel loading/unloading, pickup items spawning / respawing and most of logic for the weather hazards featured in our game.

    Main features:
    • Use of Unreal Engine's Game Instances, Game Mode, Actor Blueprints & Actor Blueprint Components

Transition to and from Pause Menu

    Summary

I was also in charge of providing all the hard tech required to implement the transition and flow among the UI states. Everything about the interface, except the iconography and logo. I took on the challenge of revamping our UX design and program it to provide a unique feel for the game's overall experience.

    Main features:
    • UI built from scratch with UMG Widgets
    • Transitions invoking a smooth and cohesive behaviour
    • Look and feel in accordance to our game's aesthetics
